Retreat Dharma Talks at New York Insight Meditation Center

Making a Connection to the Heart

For many of us, becoming connected to the heart may seem like a mysterious process. But, in fact, it’s a skill that, following the Buddha’s instructions, we can learn to cultivate.

This daylong retreat will include an opportunity to learn and practice various aspects of this profound skill. When we’re able to connect to our hearts, we’re able to take action in the world that is an expression of compassion and lovingkindness for others and, importantly, ourselves.

We will also learn the rudiments for taking action that comes straight from the heart. The program will include meditation, teaching and discussion.
